Baby-Friendly Museums in the Bay Area
The Bay Area is opening back up, and many are eager to take their newest additions out to explore! We are so lucky to have so many different places to visit in the Bay. From top parks, beaches, museums, and historic neighborhoods, we truly have it all! Let’s dive in and grow those tiny minds as we discover and explore our favorite baby-friendly museums in the Bay Area!
1) The Monterey Bay Aquarium- Monterey, California
We are lucky enough to have one of the top aquariums in the world right in our backyard! The Monterey Bay Aquarium is an excellent attraction for all ages. With so many different exhibits, colors, noises, and entertainment choices, this museum is the perfect spot for families with kids of all ages! The aquarium is equipped with a nursing station that features rocking chairs, bottle warmers, and a sink in a nice dark space. They genuinely do have it all.
2) Happy Hallow Park & Zoo, San Jose, California
Happy Hollow Park and the zoo is located in San Jose and truly is a hidden treasure! This park is equipped with a petting zoo, educational facts on animals, a zoo, rides, puppet shows, a playground, a cafeteria, and so much more! They also have a nursing station! We recommend going during the week as weekends do become very crowded. Also, there isn’t much shade, so that a morning visit may be better in the hotter months.
3) The Bay Area Discovery Museum- Sausalito, California
The Bay Area Discovery Museum is a fun place for children of all ages. With many different interactive exhibits, it is easy to stay in this place all day! There truly is something for everyone. There is also an interactive exhibit exclusively for babies and toddlers called the “tot spot.” The museum is also equipped with a nursing and feeding station. We highly recommend this museum for families with children of all ages!
4 )The Children’s Creativity Museum – San Francisco, California
While the Children’s Creativity Museum has not yet reopened due to Covid-19, this one is worth putting on your list for future outings. The children’s creativity museum is a fantastic place for infants. They have many different hands-on exhibits for babies and toddlers, and older children awaken and touch on all senses!
