At-Home Celebrations

While attending Easter events and exploring local attractions can be exciting, celebrating at home can be just as memorable. If you are looking for some ideas to create an Easter celebration that’s both festive and baby-friendly, we’ve got you covered:

  1. Easter Egg Decorating: Set up a designated area in your home for decorating Easter eggs with your newborn. Use safe, non-toxic dyes and stickers to create colorful and creative designs. Alternatively, you can choose plastic or wooden eggs for a mess-free solution.
  2. Easter Storytime: Gather the family for a special Easter-themed storytime session. Choose age-appropriate books that celebrate the spirit of Easter and read them aloud to your newborn. You could also try incorporating interactive elements such as puppets or finger plays to engage your little one.
  3. Sensory Play: Create a sensory bin filled with Easter-themed items such as plastic eggs, pastel-colored pom-poms, and soft bunny toys. Allow your newborn to explore the objects’ textures, colors, and sounds while supervised. This sensory experience can stimulate your baby’s senses and promote cognitive development.
  4. Easter Crafts: Get creative with Easter-themed crafts suitable for even the youngest family members. Make handprint or footprint art using safe, washable paints, or create simple Easter-themed collages using construction paper and stickers. Display your little one’s creations proudly as part of your Easter decorations.
  5. Easter Photoshoot: Capture precious moments with your newborn by organizing a mini Easter photoshoot at home. Dress your baby in a cute Easter outfit or costume, and set up a simple backdrop using festive decorations or props. Enjoy snapping photos of your little one posing with Easter baskets, plush toys, or spring flowers for adorable keepsakes.
